Consider this post as a simple photographic narrative...an in-progress update.
If all goes as planned, I'll be able to post photos of the completed and primed cabinets early next week. But for now, I thought you'd enjoy a peek into the cabinet build process.
Our amazing friend, Russ, is the genius behind our custom build. He's absolutely amazing. If you live in Virginia, and are in need of custom cabinetry for your kitchen or other rooms in your home, he's definitely your man. Check out Russ' Fine Woods. I guarantee you'll find plenty of inspiration for all your home renovation dreams!
We are incredibly grateful to Russ for taking on this new challenge--building cabinetry for an RV. He's truly a rock star!
In fact, Russ is creating spaces for our RV that did not exist in the original plan by virtue of his cabinet wizardry.
And that has been quite the challenge as you can see from these photos of Russ, the creative thinker and designer.
So let's get right to the photos...
One of the first projects to tackle was the stairwell wall that separates the dining area from the stairs. We have increased the depth in order to include new space for storage for both a fire extinguisher and a removable floor to cover for the stairwell. In addition, on my request, both Russ and Tim agree to include a shelf or sill for plants.
And then, Russ is designing an entertainment cabinet for us that will fill the wall space just behind the cab's passenger seat...
That's all for now... I'll be back next week to share the next step--cabinetry installed and waiting its final paint finish. Hurrah! See you soon!
